The shape of the triangle box invites the viewer to turn it around and explore the angles. I was researching traditional boxes and liked the fact they were raised off the ground and had a big centre piece on the middle of the lid. This gives the box a monarchical feel and I wanted to bring this element through into my box. The gold rims around the box echo this same intention. The decoration of lines are applied using the traditional technique of chasing, and the shape is scored and folded.
