The embellishments for this piece were inspired by a drawing made of the feathers on a peacock. I was attracted by contrast between the geometric lines and organic shapes and have brought this element into my piece. The pattern of the design is repeated around the sides of the box. The triangular form invites the viewer to pick the box up and turn it around.
